WAVE CHURCH JAN 28!

SOOOOOOOOOO....guess what??? ITS GOING TO RAIN TOMORROW!HARD! HAHA! WEDNESDAY THE 28TH!!! sooooo, even if that sounds like its a bad thing. Its simply an opportunity to be creative ;) (besides, i adore rain, its a good thing)
So instead of the traditional every 2nd wednesday wave night (even if we are WAY over due!) We are going to do something fun and different. We are going to meet at my house, and watch the wave on the wall...(with a projector!) it'll be fun, then we can play games and have fun, without people having to stay super late if they dont want too, and people not having to worry about crossing the bridge in not so great weather :) I'll give directions tomorrow at school, or call me :) We will meet at my house at 7/7:30 so that gives time for people who are in class to get out and scuttle down to my house, which is half an hour from the college! 15 minutes from exmore. SOOOOO I hope you all can come! You dont have to bring anything but yourselves and you can bring your bible if you would like. And any games you really like! AIIGHT!!! ITS A DATE! Let me know ppls!!!

WAVE CHURCH DEC 17TH WEDNESDAY!

SOOOOO I am preparing a list of people for the wave, and need ppl to reserve their seats!!! We will be leaving at 5:30 so we can stop and get something to eat this time! and get there way early enough to chillax and look around! sooo if your interested in coming, all you need to bring is 5 bucks to pitch in for gas/toll (this is a huge help!) and then either pack dinner or bring some money for dinner! (we dont normally do dinner, but we are celebrating!) sooo!!

WHEN: 5:30 pm Royal Farms in Exmore!

WHY: BECAUSE ITS A BLAST! (AND GOD IS CRAZY AWESOME!)And you reserve so you can have a seat! I reserve our seats because it gets so packed!

WHAT (do I bring?) : 10 bucks should cover you if you put five aside for a meal and five for toll/gas

HOW: Turn key in ignition.... proceed to press gas pedal....ooh and make sure you dont hit anything. its that easy. :)

IT IS TIME TO REPOSITION- CARL

(These are my notes from December 3rd 2008 Wednesday Wave Service)

=If you are ready for Him to turn a page in your life, you can reposition at any time! You dont need a profetic word, you can do it now! You can get into a position to be fruitful! You are not stuck where you are tonight! What are you waiting for? YOur ready? ( Carl then talks about the Roman Rapids Ride @ Busch Gardens. How you are strapped into your seat watching everyone else get wet, and you are just DYING to get wet, but you cant, you stuck, watching them have fun while your hot and bored. An example of watching people be on fire for God, and wishing that was you) You DONT HAVE TO WATCH PEOPLE GET SPLASHED WITH GOD! PEOPLE WITH THE GOOD LIVES

The Reposition Promise

If your continually reposition your life, other people are going to follow. If you reposition yourself, others will.

ACTS 8:26-39 (About Philip being suddenly transported to another place!!! like some sci fi movie!)
Thats the kind of re-positioning thats possible, thats what I want! You dont have to live in some hampster wheel world!

(Now Carl talks about going to a Methaman concert, people screaming, tossing hands in the air, worshiping Methaman, METHAMAN?! What did methaman ever do for anyone?! WHAT DID HIP HOP EVER DO FOR ANYONE? It never saved anyone!?)
Instead of that concert I want to go where You go, to have what you have,! You cant get satisified with what you have! 2 things that will make a difference:

1. You need to reposition your standards, take them from low to high!

Evaluate your standards. YOu get what you aim for in life! If you standard is to have all Gods got for you, you will have that! High standards=repositioning by default


We have become acceptable of average.

( Carl now had them play a new popular song by Neo, about him loving this girl because she was the boss of things, payed her own bills, had her own money and a good job. Carl was steamed at this! God all hyped up! And its a SUPER AWESOME point so Im glad he god into it!) A JOB? PAYES THE BILLS ON TIME? WHAT KIND OF STANDARDS ARE THOSE? So your going to bring some guy home to meet your parents and you say (gets a fake dumb girl voice on) "Mom, Dad! HE HAS A JOB!" WHAT? Even if he is a Christian, what does that men? What KIND of Christian is he? So he goes to church three days a week, SO WHAT? HE SHOULD BE! He should be into his faith!!! Thats not an acceptible quality! Im keepibg my Godly standards where they need to be.

Romans 12:1

If you feel your standards are slipping make an immediate change tonight! (today! whenever your reading this!) Shut the door on the things in your life that will pull you down! (Tells a story about him and his wife when they were dating. How she felt she was leading more than she should be in the relationship, that he wasnt the Godly man she needed. So she told him they were through. Handed him his box of things from her car and shut the door on his face. haha. And he worked really hard to become a Godly man, he rose and worked and grew!~)

2. Reposition your faith, focus on Gods power and not the problems in your life!

Matt 19:26--Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."--


Its so easy to lose your faith, you have to remind yourself! Faith is like a muscle, the more you work it the more you have to remind yourself that your God is Good! Either you believe it or not!

I wouldnt be surprised if Brittney Spears walked in here tonight and God saved! Why not? Isnt our God big enough?

For the rest of your life the devil is going to try and pull you to fear. NO FAITH, NO FRUIT! When you feel your faith being sucked away remind yourself. Your a Christian~!!!!

"Do Not Let Your Dreams Die!"-Joe Riddle

Here is a summation of the sermon last night, It was totally great and I don’t want you all to miss out on the challenge and growth that can come from it.
A little entry on this, Wednesday morning I read the parable found in Matthew 25:14-30. I thought of the talents given to the workers as literal "talents" and or "gifts" to use and multiply. I was mellowed with the realization that many a "talent" was buried in my life, hiding for fear of being snatched away. How strange to think I may lose something if i never used it? How human...blind. So then the sermon played right along the same alley, take a look:

"How fresh and real are your dreams? God is able to take your dreams and empower them! Do not let your dreams die! When you carry a dream you carry life! We're going to talk about how you manage your dreams."

"The waiting game is what your doing while your waiting for tomorrow" Here Joe pulled out a passage in the bible that really meant a lot to him, "Isaiah 66:8-10 says, 'Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children. Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?' Says the Lord. Do i close up the womb when i bring to delivery? Says your God. Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her, and you will love her; rejoice greatly with her, all you who mourn over her." Here Joe makes the point that the time of waiting is like being pregnant, waiting upon delivery, sometimes a woman will go past her due date and be like "why wont this thing get out!!" Its the same as waiting for our dreams to become reality. But just as it says in this passage, God will deliver! He wont spark dreams in your heart just to make you carry them in the depths of you and never see them come to life! Unless of course you allow them to die. "Maybe you have a dream you already let die. Gods ready to take your dreams and breath life into them!"

"Carrying a dream is a process because the first moment trouble comes people allow dreams to die. Living pregnant with Gods vision will cost you everything! Turn your waiting game into something EPIC!" (at this point joe was fired up and began spitting as he spoke...a point well worth the spit :) ) Romans 8:18-19 "I consider that our present sufferings’ are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed"!! Here Joe mentions how Christ considered the cross "nothing". In light of the glory that will be revealed! How many sufferings do we take with joy, as they bring glory to God!? Here’s how ordinary waiting becomes an epic.

"1. Focus living is NON-NEGOTIABLE you become what you behold, the things you stare at are what you become. God knows what’s in the way of your dreams. We cant look at what’s wrong we have to look at what’s going to be. Don’t stare at the cause and not the cost." Hebrews 12:2 "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Here we see how Christ scorned the cross, considered it nothing!

"2. Success is NON-NEGOTIABLE
Its life or death, the choice is yours, Jesus is asking you, will you take my gift?"

Joe charged us, you, me, with this message about Gods desire for our lives. He gave us dreams, dreams that he wants us to fallow through and see come alive! But, we cannot, simply cannot see those dreams birthed unless we put forth the faith and effort required! What dreams do you have? Have you let them die? This life is short and time is of the essence! Get focused on the RIGHT things and believe full heartedly that God will see them birthed. DONT LET YOUR DREAMS DIE!!!
